Digital Transformation is a debate that is high on the agenda of Brazilian executives - mainly those who are concerned with the sustainability (and longevity) of the business. Much is said about the topic, and there are still disagreements about its real meaning, application and impacts on the company's structure. Today we came here to clarify some of these aspects.
Digital transformation does not only involve the adoption of technologies in the company. It goes much further. First of all, we believe that this issue is a very important point and deserves reflection: does your company want to be or be digital? We need to start with a purpose (which can vary from one organization to another) to effect the change, only then will the rest of the process make sense.
Digital Transformation and the Client
We emphasize that during the Digital Transformation process the customer must always be at the center. Identify your pain, your dissatisfaction, or how can we improve your experience when using the product / service? These steps are relevant to guide us towards a solution that will add value to it.
Let's use as an example a very popular trend today, the use of AI (the famous bots). We cannot think that just installing a bot will make your company digitally transformed. It is necessary to question whether this new practice will, in fact, generate value. We can ask some questions about it: would customers like to talk to a bot? Will this make their lives easier in any way?
Some sectors, such as banks, which are increasingly digital, may benefit from this practice. But if you operate in another medium, it is possible that your customers will experience some kind of friction when interacting with this technology. Instead of adding something positive, we may end up impacting the customer in a negative way.
