ACE was founded by Mike Ajnsztajn and Pedro Waengertner. Both were Brazilian serial entrepreneurs and they believed that by creating an accelerator they would decrease the risk of  investing in startups while at the same time helping to develop the local ecosystem. Ajnsztajn has an extensive history as a serial entrepreneur both in Brazil and the United States. As the founder of GV Angels, an investment group of alumni from Fundação Getulio Vargas, a leading Brazilian university, he is bringing together the venture capital and angel investment communities in Brazil . Waengertner, the current ACE CEO, is an expert in both innovation and marketing and was recently named by Forbes as one of the most innovative founders in the world.
