Aceleratech was founded by Pedro Waengertner and Mike Ajnsztajn, two serial entrepreneurs, it was the first accelerator for startups in Brazil with the support of an educational institution, ESPM. After four years, five awards, five exits and more than 60 accelerated startups, the company grew and in 2016 it became ACE.
Before founding then Aceleratech, both founders already had solid career paths and success in their own businesses.
Mike Ajnsztajn started his path as a serial entrepreneur when he took over Blowtex, transforming it from a company with seven employees and a series of problems into the second largest condom company in Brazil, selling it in 2007 to Ansell, the largest latex manufacturer in the world. world. After that, he went to the United States, where he created Astralis, a biotechnology startup that was looking for a cure for psoriasis: he was successful once again and took the company to the IPO (public offering of shares) on NASDAQ, the Stock Exchange of NY focused on technology, and later the sale of the company to a multinational pharmaceutical company.
So, Mike returned to Brazil and met Pedro Waengertner, a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience in marketing and technology, and founded Zuppa, the first online restaurant reservation site in the country. Pedro had already created and sold some companies, and accumulates tickets through Conectt and is coordinator of the digital marketing course at ESPM, where he also taught for years. Zuppa also proved successful, resulting in a sale to Peixe Urbano.
After the exit, Mike and Pedro decided that they wanted to use all the knowledge and contacts they already had to help the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Latin America to create companies that were really capable of impacting the Economy. That is, since we started we have already dreamed big, both for ourselves and for the ecosystem.
