The life of an entrepreneur, despite being extremely laborious, is very rewarding. There is nothing more enjoyable than watching something you have built grow and scale throughout Brazil and the world. With a startup or small business it is much easier to see the direct results of your work and the growth is usually much greater.
These are just some of the reasons for why entrepreneurship is so good, but there are many more.
I recently found a Contact Me infographic with a survey of small American companies talking about which part of entrepreneurship makes them the happiest, and I would like to share it with you.
Regarding American small business owners:
69% describe themselves as “Very Happy”
61% believe they are happier than their peers
87% say they are likely to remain in their companies 5 years from now
90% of entrepreneurs say they are happier in their own businesses than working for someone
39% work 60 hours or more a week

61% They would not be willing to give up the independence of running their own business by making more money working for someone else.
46% start their companies to have more flexibility, while only 19% started to make more money.
3 main benefits of being an entrepreneur
-Be your own boss
-Make your work schedule
-Being the decision maker
3 main challenges of being an entrepreneur:
-Cash and budget management
-Stress and responsibility of having a company
-Many hours of work and little time off
“The more we got acquainted with entrepreneurs who own small businesses, the more we realized that they care about independence more than anything. And being bigger sometimes means less freedom for them.
Clearly, most entrepreneurs work much harder than the rest of us. And the return appears in consumer satisfaction surveys. Few people believe that the service of large companies is better than that of small businesses. ”
Sastry Rachakonda, director of Discover's Business Card.

88% say that having a small business brings a strong personal connection with your consumers
